Using Modula-2 in projects |
| Modula-2 is not dead. Although Java has got most of the popularity in the past two years,
Modula-2 is still a nice and useful language for both simple and complex projects. There are some free versions of Modula-2 for the MSDOS
world, (namely FST and GPM). Although MSDOS has been killed by Microsoft, it's still the preferred OS for hardware hacking.
It's simple enough to not interfere too much with the hardware, and gives the developer the power of using the basic resources to
the limit. There are also Modula-2 versions for the Windows and Linux world. (Google for XDS and Mocka repectively). |
